2022 Tempranillo

TASTING NOTES -

Dark ruby in the glass, the color of this wine pays homage to the volcanic red Aiken soils that give these grapes life. Grown on the Valor Ridge Estate on the southern edge of the Sierra Foothills, this full-bodied Tempranillo exudes a character and personality indicative of wine grown in a hot and dry climate. Mission figs, Bing cherries, cedar, tobacco, leather, and warm earth lead into a sensual palate brimming with red berries, exotic spices, black plums, and hints of toffee. The tannins provide tremendous structure, allowing the varietal’s natural acidity and tannins to weave effortlessly throughout the entire drinking experience, leading to a smooth and powerful finish.
