Grown in the rocky volcanic soils of our Valor Ridge Estate in the North, our Mountain Cuvee delivers exceptional character and precision through the lens of this rugged appellation. Vibrant aromas of black cherries, creme de cassis, wild sage, dried strawberries, and freshly cut lavender lead into a plush and seductive palate full of spiced fruits and crushed stone that lingers for an eternity. Additional layers of black plums, cloves, wet leather, and a hint of vanilla continue to evolve with time in the glass, all wrapped in fine-grained, mineral-laced tannins that bring everything together. Decadent and luxurious with a noticeable streak of rebellion, this release highlights the purity of fruit from this single vineyard that can only come from grapes born at elevated origins.
