“Blueberry, cassis and minerals on the vibrant nose. Broad and creamy-sweet, with lovely perfume and definition to the blueberry and violet flavors. In a distinctly feminine style. The tannins here are quite suave but there's no shortage of backbone. I'd drink this juicy, firm wine before and after the regular cabernet as its tannins are more resolved today. But I would certainly expect it to blossom with bottle aging.”
“Perfumed aromas of cassis, black cherry and flowers. Richer and fuller than the cabernet franc but with lovely violet perfume to leaven the wine's sweetness. Slightly medicinal on the lingering, floral finish. These wines show gentle tannins for the vintage.”
“Currant, licorice and chocolate on the nose, lifted by a violet element. Intensely flavored but rather delicate on the palate, with a juicy quality and captivating notes of licorice, flowers and spices. Finishes with dusty, building tannins and good grip.”
